Management consultancy Accenture is considering setting up an Indian start-up hub, something that already exists in its Silicon Valley office.
Gianfranco Casati, group chief executive – growth markets at Accenture, said: “I would say that it is more than a possibility (placing a start-up hub in India). Collaboration with Indian start-ups is something already being done.”
Accenture, which is also a global technology services and outsourcing company, works on new-generation technologies such as natural language programming, cognitive learning software and internet of things at its innovation hubs in partnership with start-ups.
The company has worked with Indian start-ups before at its labs in Hong Kong and through grants for researchers at some of India’s top engineering institutions like IIT Bombay and IIT Madras, BITS Pilani, and IISc, Bangalore.Tagged: Digital India
