Cantonment school classrooms to go ‘smart’

Taking forward government’s ambitious Digital India initiative, the Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) is planning to introduce digital classrooms in its seven schools that can improve the academic performance of students as well as their attendance. The smart classes will be more interactive wherein the study material will be displayed through a projector, eliminating the use of traditional blackboard-and-chalk methods. Under the initiative, the government also plans to set up a digital library in the schools, consisting of study material in the electronic medium.
