Include developing nations in Internet governance processes: India

Speaking at the UN General Assembly meeting, Secretary in the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, JS Deepak, stated that policies which enable access to the internet should be formulated with full involvement of all stakeholders from the developing world since a large proportion of the next billion internet users come from developing nations. He further asked the nations to create a global convention to address issues of cyber security and cybercrime. The event aimed at adopting an outcome that identifies emerging trends, new priorities and innovations to accelerate information and communications technologies.
