India, Singapore to sign strategic partnership agreement during Modi’s visit

PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Singapore next month for three days and Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan has announced that Singapore is willing to enter into a strategic partnership with India to focus on urban solutions, smart cities and knowledge and skill transfer during this visit. He further briefed minister Swaraj on Singapore’s contributions to India in the areas of smart cities and skills development and both the sides agreed on need to improve economic cooperation, including expanding trade and investment between the two countries.
