To push government’s ambitious Digital India, Microsoft is betting big on its cloud offering through localized data centers. The company operates three data centers in India — in Chennai, Mumbai and Pune which are hyper-scalable with thousands of servers, tremendous storage capability, and massive network capacity to provide many government-to-citizen services encompassing e-governance, financial inclusion, healthcare and education programmes that can positively impact 1.25 billion Indians.
