Pruthvi, a chip, can connect India’s rural population to the internet

Saankhya Labs has developed a system called Meghdoot, powered by its Pruthvi chip that can use television White Space or wasted spectrum bandwidth to connect India’s rural population to the internet in lines with Digital India. The company will soon conduct field trials across the country in collaboration with IIT-Bombay, IIT-Delhi and IIT-Hyderabad.
