Endurance International Group (EIG), a web hosting company, has plans to invest $50-70 million in India as it aims to double its revenues to $200 million over the next five years.
The US-based company will primarily invest in increasing its headcount in research and development and customer service, and in data centres, chief executive Hari Ravichandran said.
Ravichandran said: “We already have people based out of India who are servicing other markets. Our focus at EIG is emerging markets and from the Mumbai headquarters we’ll look at targeting Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Russia and possibly Brazil.
“India is growing faster than EIG and a lot more people are coming online. Right now, it comprises 5-7 per cent of our global business.”
The tech firm got access to brands such as BigRock, ResellerClub and Logic-Boxes about two years ago. It focuses on helping small and medium enterprises get online.Tagged: Digital India, Revenue
